TheInternational Observatory for Territorial Diplomacy (OIDT) deployed, from 31 May 2026, an international observation mission for the legislative and communal elections in the Republic of Guinea.
The mission is led by Mr Ghaleb Faouaze, OIDT Country Representative. Its members were deployed in the field, alongside the actors of the electoral process, to follow voting operations at polling stations.
In line with the Observatory’s doctrine, the mission rests on four principles: independent observation, an inclusive approach, compliance with national and international standards and a contribution to peace and social cohesion. It is part of the OIDT’s core purpose: a diplomacy of territories serving peace, democracy and sustainable development.
To observe is to understand. To understand is to help build territories at peace.
